My daughter installed a CD-RW drive (with my blessings) on our computer a while back. It crashed everything, so she pulled it and had to re-install windows before it ran right. I told her to either get it back in and running right, or return the drive. She re-installed it, told me it was fine now, then informed me this AM the whole system is down, and btw, she’s off to Gencon for 5 days, so she can try to have it up and running next monday! I am not happy. I just got a cable modem, and was grooving on real internet access. So tonight I will return, and dust off my rusty computer skills. I once installed my own internal modem (2400 baud), RAM expansion board (giving me an entire 1.64M of RAM), audio cards (8 bit) and CD ROM drive (2x). How hard could it be? Well, perhaps I’ll just use my rescue disks instead. Thank god I updated them 2 days before she tried to re-install. Pray for me. QTM ---

I’ll pray for your daughter, off at GenCon. I used to go there-- I know what kind of socially inept geeks frequent that place! Uhm, not that I ever was that socially inept, uh, er. ---

I don’t know whether to feel bad about dragging you down this humor path or not so that you “wasted” your 900th post. Let me think…bad … not bad … bad … not bad … bad … not bad, nope not going to.
