# My kid got mugged!!

If by “works,” you mean “satisfies the public’s bloodlust, but doesn’t produce any real results,” then yeah, I guess you’re right. Hell, if everyone is so gung-ho about it, why hide it behind closed doors? Let’s have a state-appointed inmate rapist! Who will do it, though? Should it be restricted to the current roll of sexually predatory inmates, or should we invite members of the public to partake in the raping? :rolleyes:

Carrying around a baseball bat without some evidence that you are in fact about to go play a game/attend training etc will get you a visit to the local cop-shop, and probably a formal caution (if you have no prior offences) or charges of carrying a weapon (especially if your past form indicates a propensity for violence). Carrying one for self-defence is NOT allowed.

Latest: kid attended the police-station yesterday (with his store manager) to file charges. While our initial indication was that the coppers had a good idea who the culprit was, they unfortunately gave no indication of the same during the interview. That’s not unusual, and I am still confident that they will pay our hero a visit for a bit of a chat.

Kid is recovered and back to normal (well, whatever ‘normal’ is for a snotty 17 year old anyway!! 😃 )
