My Letter On the RIAA And Why I Hate Them!

Wow! How manyMORE insults can you whip out about me! All of your cussing of me and negative comments made MORE sense than my outrage with the RIAA . NOT!!! It was fun stirring up you people! I had my fun today! LOL

And for those who want to count more exclamations, Here you are!!! LOL

It really takes someone of pure itelligence to spew such garbage about someone they do not even know. It seems that everyone on this message board is just as intellegent and I am! Maybe we should close down all of the public libraries too! I mean, I only pay $.50 (one time) to read all of the books that I want. I can also check out movies to watch and CD’s to listen to, isn’t it the same thing??? Next time you go to your local library, think of the poor authors that you are ripping off because YOU don’t want to buy their books you only want to READ THEM FOR FREE! Lets deprive all of our children access to public libraries and let’s sensor everyones first amendment!! Hooray!! What a wonderful world it will be when NO ONE will be able to have their own opinion without some JACKASS dissecting every sentence! Enjoy your Day, I know I have!!! May your sprewing of filth continue, also your comment on the opening line of the letter (Dear (U.S. Representative)) that is and automated entry, I always insert the name of the Representative that I am addressing, it is only proper! This letter was construd out of pure anger towards the RIAA, and I admit it rambles on, but it doesn’t give you any right to judge me as a person, less ye be judged!! Your comments about Christian singers were very nice as well, apparently you do not know anything about Chrisitanity and if you DO, you need to go to church! Have a Nice Day!

What did you expect? You wrote an exceptionally childish letter with very few (if any) good points, covered it in 13-year-old girlie AOLSpeak, and then submitted it here. You had to know that your grammar would be savaged, and given the vast number of threads about this same topic you had to know that your opinions and thoughts would be savaged as well.

But you don’t care. You thought enough of the commentary in this thread to tell us that, but you don’t care. Right. Whatever you say, fella. Go steal some more music and quit wasting our time.

Ahem. Is there an Administrator in the house?

You are not thirty three years old. In fact, I doubt that you are of the minimum age to comply with the Children’s Internet Privacy Act.

If you are older than twelve god help you. You are dumber than the stick up Fred Phelp’s ass. You wouldn’t know propriety if it came up an fucked you in the ass with a red hot spiky mace.

Just a couple things…

Ilsa had good points, and I guess for the record, I’ll say that P2P IS one of the best mechanisms ever, I use it constantly, and that’s that.

So, to address some points. 1) I don’t know where the hell you live that CDs are greater than $18.00, but wtf? Circuit City has new CDs for $10; Best Buy usually has something similar. Older CDs are about $13, or you can go to a used shop and pay $5.

  1. While you’re correct that the quality of videos recorded in theaters on video cameras is abyssmal, you’re forgetting that a lot of movie piracy is occuring with the help of theater staff nowadays. ie-- people who work in the theater that have access to the materials are the ones posting to kazaa and such (I’m thinking LOTR:ROTK, for example).

  2. DVD copying is not as horrible as you make it out to be; maybe you just don’t know what you’re doing (which, judging from your OP, wouldn’t surprise me). I’m NOT advocating that anyone copy a DVD or distribute such material, but DVD rippers output perfect quality (and why not, a DVD is a digital data representation anyway).

Right, so, I believe the movie industry is losing a lot more than you think. Simultaneously, I believe that CD prices aren’t as outrageous as you claim.

That said, P2P is awesome and-- guess what-- I still buy CDs and contribute otherwise to artists.[/QUOTE

You do Realize that when you buy CD’s as used in such places as pawn shops, etc, those places do not pay the RIAA fees. Also when this letter was written DVD coping was CRAP, I will admit that the technology today is MUCH better than it was, but for you to assume that I do not know anything about it is very ignorant. As far as downloading movies, I have downloaded a movie, but what did not seem to understand is that I download a movie to see if I might like it before I go to the theater and pay $7 a person to see the movie. I don’t watch the entire movie, just sample a preview to make my decision. The downloaded copies that are available are not very good, and paying $15 for a DVD is much more reasonalble that paying $18 for a CD that may only have one or two songs that I would find enjoyable. I also buy CD’s, most of my MP3 collection was created from CD’s that I have purchased currently and in the past. I allow other users to download music that may not be as fortunate as I to be able to afford such a collection. I will admit that I don’t typically buy new CD’s from the current “artists” but I do buy a lot of compilation CD’s to finish off my collection. Also I might download a couple of songs and realize that I might really like the album and I will go out and buy it and replace my downloaded copy with a higher quality copy. Also your point about CD’s being so cheap, maybe you were asleep about 6 or 7 months ago, but it was an agreement that was made by the RIAA to stop the racketeering of CD prices by lowering prices to the current levels they are now. With this being said, some places, such as Best Buy and Circuit City are still charging higher prices for some CD’s, it just depends on what your forte is, everything is subject to opinion.

WHAT? Please tell me that you are not defending our great nation, I can’t understand what your saying either!

That’s because the neurolinguistic processing centers where the first ones to feel the impact when you were dropped on your head as a baby.

You could spin down DNA samples in the spastic brain shit you’ve posted.

Here is a question for you…How old are you, you talk like your 10, and what is you highest educaiton?? Did you get your GED or was that too hard? Thanks for your advice about the spikey stuff, but I don’t need to know what you do in your spare time! It takes a big man to use a GIRLS name!

<<Pssstt… “I-am-rubber-and-you-are-glue-nah-nah-nah-you’re-a-bigger-one” ad hominems are not good debating tactis.>>

I am 16. My education level is a B.S., on a PhD track.

Kiss my ass, motherfucker.

When you mock someone, please proofread with greater care.

I see that you cannot take criticism either, IF your PhD is for you to obtain a doctors status, then I feel sorry for anyone who is in your care. due to your lack of understanding and care for others. I hope it makes you feel like a big man to put others down, what ever helps you sleep at night! Again with the gay remarks, I am not interested in your ass, but thanks for the offer! This is my final response to you, being that you are 16, you have a lot to learn about life, the track that your are on right now is steering you in the wrong direction, but good luck getting back into the human race and I hope that you do not treat any future patients the way you have treated me, after all this was MY opinion for which I am entitiled!

Who are you? His girlfriend?

I hope that someday you’ll understand why we’re all laughing at this.

You can hope in one hand…
