Sorry for the double post… but I didn’t get that you let the cats mix right away. That was probably a mistake, as you’ve no doubt realized by now. Perhaps you can avoid medicating Bubby by keeping him restricted to the mudroom for the next few weeks until he and your cats adjust.

Bach’s Rescue Remedy is also a good calming agent that isn’t pharmaceutical.

I wouldn’t medicate him without a vet’s say-so. You never know how he might react.

Have you tried playing with him? My cats love paper balls!
