I was reading the list of valiant soldiers and combatants. If this speech was given again would you add any updates. And we aren’t in Afghanistan anymore. but how would we mark where we are now and what our military is doing?

I read this every year.

All the years I’ve been here a never saw this. So well written.

I’m not able to visit the graves anymore and that saddens me. My cousin was able to put flowers and check that the appropriate flags were placed on deceased family’s tombstones.

I remember my mother calling this Decoration Day until well into the 1970s.
