I am utterly dismayed. For the little that it’s worth, I guess smoke inhalation is both likely and much more merciful than the alternative. You are true enough to yourself that I will not offer to pray for you, but you’re in my thoughts… for the little that _that_ in its turn is worth. ☹ ---

My heart aches for you DtC. I lost my father many years ago, and I still miss him all the time. This is frightening to me, because like yours, my Mom uses a walker and isn’t very mobile. I think I’m going to see if her smoke detectors are working… ---
