# my mouse freaked out

Need some help. I don’t know what I did, but my mouse is not working like it normally does.

When I tried to shut down, I clicked on “Start” but when I let go of the left button the “Start” screen went away??? I held the button down and draged the cursor over to “shut down” the computer and got it to turn off that way.

When I turned the machine back on the problem started again. When I double clicked on my aol icon, I got some type of double click aol properties thing.

What do I need to do?

Goto the control panel and click on the mouse settings. It sounds like your left and right buttons have been switched. Oh yeah, get a real ISP.

thanks for the idea, it seemed to fix its self. not after turning the machine off and on either, just happened???

Any advice on ISP’s - you’re right, aol sux

Try your local baby Bell. AT&T Worldnet is pretty decent too. Or Earthlink, if the Scientologist rumors are not true.

Windows can be controlled with just the keyboard. It’s a worthwhile thing to learn how to do in case your mouse goes nuts.
