This was my first view of the show, and I’ll admit, I didn’t want to find it funny. But I did. LOVE IT. “Someone suggested we replace our cigarettes with carrots. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get 'em to light.” Really stupid show, but funny as hell. I think I’ll be putting this one on the DVR. E. ---

I was glad to see that while they had fun with the Born-Again Christian ex-con, he was sincere & decent, and neither crazy nor evil. ---

My son has gotten several tattoos since he joined the Navy, so last night after this episode aired, my dad called me and told me to tell Nick that he’d pay for it if Nick wanted to get Donnie’s ass tattoo – you know, Moses parting the Red Sea. I hope he was kidding! Did anyone catch the bumper sticker on Donnie’s car? “Jesus is my airbag” Do you think it would be wrong for an atheist to have one of those? What a great show! ---

I liked this one better than the first. Crab Man cracks me up. Telling Earl she was trying to kill him ONLY because she got him involved. I love Earl’s relationship with the guy who was doing his wife. I hope the romance blooms between Randy and the maid. I like that. I worry that they will make it a love triangle. There are lots of good things about this show, but it is all Jason Lee. Emmy voters need to pay attention. ---

I find it funny that the friend (Ronnie?), who was called crazy, was played by the same guy who played the crazy cell-mate in _Prisonbreak._ I guess he’s got his character down. It’s probalby cuse he has that thing with his eye. It’s not quite a lazy eye, but _something_. ---

I think “How poisoned?” will become one of our household catchphrases. I’m so glad this show is doing well. Not just because I love Jason Lee, but because it’s really, really funny. ---

He quit smoking (1) and apologized to Donnie (2), but then he added one for Mrs. Landiingham in getting her to quit smoking to make up for taking her son away for two years (3), so he did three altogether, but it nets out to two, since he added one. My head hurts. ---

I seldom laugh out loud when I’m alone, but when Darnell walked in and said “Hey, Earl. Joy wanted me to bring you these poison cookies,” I almost died. After a strong premiere, the combo of Earl/The Office left NBC in third place, behind House and ABC’s new (shudder) Geena Davis vehicle “Commander In Chief.” I hope the fact that Earl plays strong among that key Adult 18-49 demographic means the show will be given a chance to build a following.
