Notice how Karma iseems to be infecting everyone on the show? Joy driving her car into the ditch by avoiding the homeless man she stole from. Kenny volunteering to help Earl and meeting teh man of his dreams. (he must have done something minorly wrong to bring the dogs though. Crab Man being given a candy bar after he returns the lady’s purse. Favorite really predictable joke. Earl: you’re gonna go back to high school Clock: Cuckoo Randy: That was wierd. Either that or Earl running as fast and as far as he can and only getting halfway across the street. Catalina: You’re family doesn’t exersize much, do they? Earl: No, we sort of missed out on that whole physical fitness craze. ---

In the publicity leading up to its premiere, the creators often compared the show to King of the Hill. I think that is a pretty accurate comparison. It’s not terribly edgy, but it is sweet, satisfying and very funny. If I had to describe the show in one word, it would be “charming.” ---

I’m trying to like this show, but it just isn’t happening. It feels a lot like “Raising Arizona” to me, which is another thing I could never bring myself to like. I don’t know why these things put me off, but I think it’s the frenetic pacing. I’m having the same problem with “Everybody Hates Chris.” I do like the Crab Man bits, but that’s about it. ---

The guy that was working the desk at the impound lot… did he recently lose a LOT of weight? He looks a lot like a character actor I’ve seen around for years, but the guy I’m thinking of is a lot heavier. I don’t have any idea of his name, and the Tivo cut off the closing credits. ---
