As 'twas announced at the end of the repeat last Thursday of the Christmas Eve episode - the one where Earl gets hit by a car after declaring his independence from karma, and the reforming-whore (Alyssa Milano) he’d earlier met in prison is hit by another car just after saying she’d go to get help for him. We’re long overdue for some new _Earl_, baby. Glad the writers’ strike is over. Woohoo! ---

Yeah, not a bad idea. But I don’t want Earl tied down with a regular girlfriend. He’s just not that kinda guy. Having him stuck in prison for so long was bad enough. ---

When last we saw Mr. Turtle, he was helplessly on his back after a drunken Earl, Randy and the two whores knocked Joy and Darnell’s trailer over. I’ve never seen Darnell so clearly fighting to keep from going medieval all over Earl’s ass. ---

Nuts – apparently I missed that episode, _and_ its repeat. Last I saw Earl he was just out of prison and wondering what was going to happen. I’ll have to try and find the episode online. ---

Fuck, that was Alyssa Milano? She can definitely hang around. Good episode! I cracked up when Earl unzips and is prepared to whip it out when the faith healer’s dad asks him to show a limp. I was getting teary when Earl was about to leave his friends ---

It was… OK. The whole Fifties sitcom thing was a little forced, although Ms. Milano is certainly easy on the eyes. Having Paris Hilton say “That’s hot” just once would’ve been sufficient. Earl getting hit by the fired-straight-up crossbow bolt and Randy nauseously running away was great. Hadn’t realized the same actor (or was it really twins?) was/were playing both the Home Depot loading-dock guy and the bicycle cop. Still, I didn’t laugh as much as in the old days. But the doctor was funny: Randy: “Isn’t there anything _good_ you can tell us about Earl?” Doctor: “He has a magnificent mustache, and thank Ganesh, it was not harmed.” Randy: “Uhhhh…” Doctor: “I bet you regret having only one god now.” … Joy: “We want a second opinion. We want a Jew doctor!” Doctor: “I’m Indian. Didn’t you hear? We’re the new Jews.” Darnell: “I thought that was the Koreans?” Doctor (scoffs): “They wish!” ---

The Indian doctor rocked. 🙂 I gotta say, though, if I was ever in Camden County, he’s probably the only doctor that I would want working on me. The rest of them seemed very incompetent! The one doctor wanted to take Earl’s gallbladder. LOL Ethan S. was wonderful, as always, as Randy - was he -really- talking to G-D?! With Randy, who knows! And I just knew that he’d have to cross the boy faith healer off of Earl’s list to bring Earl back. So while the episode wasn’t up to last season’s (very) high standard, at least the show has returned. Sometimes I’m still in disbelief that this is the same group who made “Yes, Dear,” a show that I absolutely abhored! LOL I still watched it occasionally, though. ---

Good stuff. Lot of funny bits. But unlike B. Spears on How I Met Your Mother, Paris’s rehab sitcom spot was worthless. Totally distracted from the show. Of course, I pity Spears, and hate Paris.
