Today is my birthday and I was looking through the old records that my mom has. Specifically I was looking for the record that she would always pull out when I was a little kid. I don’t know what the title of the song was or who made the record but I’ll never forget that catchy tune. I was wondering if anyone out there had a record like this one and if they can remember what it was called. Better yet, can you tell me where I could buy one? The song went like this, (I may have some of the phrases wrong) "My name is Zoom and I live on the moon and I came down to Earth just to sing you this tune. Hey Eric, it’s your birthday. Hey Eric, it’s your birthday, today. A present for you I wanted to find. An outer-space creature, a one of a kind. A Wild Wop or a Cukachoo. A Purple Drop or a Buzzard Choo. Wow. Sometimes nostalgia hits like a sledgehammer in the sternum. My grandmother sent me one of those for my birthday once. Sorry I can’t help you find one, and it’s a million to one that I could ever find mine. And my name is Eric. ---

They still sell that one at some party shops around here(new england). I think everyone has had that song and knows the tune. I still have mine from when i was tiny, on a floppy plastic old album. ---

Never heard of it. However, I remember “Marcella the Chicken who sang Opera”. I believe my older brother ended up with that one. Story about a little child who goes to a farm and has a dream about the animals. On my copy the boy’s name is Davey (I’m David) and the dog’s name is PooPoo Head (ugh always hated that). I used to listen to the music part over and over. And, the flip side is the same song over and over on a really wheezy pump organ. Quality kitch. ---

I can’t believe I can help someone find something! \*\* unibrow, \*\* the companies name is ‘American Pro’ the address is: 200 University Avenue, Westwood, MA 02090 The funny thing is, I had gotten my son Billy the little 45 years ago at Lionel Playworld, and had been mistakenly playing it faster for YEARS without knowing it. It got a scratch and I found the ‘Billy’ tape at Toys R’Us at the right speed, we had a pretty decent laugh over that when you could actually understand the little guy singing! I hope you can find it, Billy always loved his, when he was little, that is. I still keep playing the tape (he just turned 16 in December) though now he isn’t quite as pleased!! ---

Maybe I can do one better. From the _Late Show with David Letterman_ home page, you can reach [Dave’s Record Collection](http://www.cbs.com/network/tvshows/mini/lateshow/comedy/records.shtml#): an absurd collection of bizarre RealAudio clips from weird records. Look for the audio clip titled “Happy Birthday, David” (I can’t link you directly to it). Sounds like that clip is the “David” version of your record. ---

Was that the same company that made the personalized kids’ books? My sister and I had a series of them; your parents would send them your name, birthday, and maybe a couple of other details, and you’d get a book featuring you in an adventure on Sesame Street, or with Snow white and the Seven Dwarves, or whatever. ---

Did anyone have the record about Snoopy fighting the Red Baron. “Ten, twenty, thirty, fifty or more, the funny Red Baron was rolling(?) the score. Many men died trying to end that streak, of the funny Red Baron, of Germany.” I nearly wore that record out. Oh, and the one about little Chinese boy who had a name so long he almost drowned because it took people too long to refer to him when calling for help. ---

I believe Snoopy vs the Red Baron was sung by the Royal Guardsmen… I THINK that was the group’s name. ---

I also have “A Very Snoopy Christmas”, which has “Snoopy vs. the Red Baron”, “Return of the Red Baron”, and (I hope it’s the right title) “Christmas bells”. And the Chinese boy with the long name was Rikki-Tikki-Tembo-No-Sa-Rembo-Chari-Bari-Richi-Pippi-Pembo, which I know I’ve misspelled. As I recall, his brother who went for help was named Chan. I never had the record for that, but I read the book.
