I like anchovies too.
I didn’t say you lied, I said I have trouble believing that it actually did. I think you are probably - er - are more sensitive to anything you think is messy or stinky than - um - most of the rest of the world.
I’m not dumb, I just know that leftover cat food in a closed container in cooler weather isn’t going to stink to the point that the bin needs to be bleached.
What some of us are saying is that, yes, we think that you are over-reacting a bit and perhaps projecting a bit. To think her actions were “vindictive” seems, to me at any rate, a little bit over-the-top. You are free to disagree, but if that happened to me, it would not have registered at all as possibly being a vindictive act. Then again, maybe I’m just oblivious, but if somebody is trying to irritate me passive aggressively by throwing stuff away into my recycling bin, they’ve really got to try a lot harder than that, because I wouldn’t even notice.
But WE are the assholes?
Yeah, there is that bit of irony, too, isn’t there. There is a catty person in the OP, but it’s not the neighbor.
I’m so done with this board. I honestly feel like I’m surrounded by children. If you’re going to insult people, don’t expect them to be nice. I’m canceling my account. So many of you are gross/pathetic people. To call me a drama queen and all of these names and then be weird about me defending myself just reiterates the fact that catty people exist in this world. She dumped those cans FACE DOWN in the recycling. There was A LOT of food in them, which means she didn’t even feed the cat enough. I guess not feeding a cat, throwing rotting food in a bin when I gave her a plastic bag AND payed her makes me such a shitty/delusional person. YEAH OK. Seriously. Goodbye.
Your answer to the specific question you quoted made no sense. Just because it’s the answer you wanted to give doesn’t make it a coherent reply.
ETA: oh, and bye.
Wow. This thread delivered.
I have not had that much fun reading a thread since JOSH.
:):):):):):):):):):)
Meow.
Why do I feel this strange urge for a cigarette?
She’s upset with us because we responded incorrectly without all of these, erm, new details; face down in the recycling, a lot of food still in them so she didn’t feed the cat enough, a plastic bag. Yup, we are all catty.
The funny thing was I assumed from the OP she meant like her neighbor literally opened a full can of tuna and then just threw it in the bin, which I could understand being puzzled if that was “sending a message” or not.
But the follow up posts kinda have me leaning in the other direction.
I think you might be onto something there.
mayaonfiya, I don’t know if you’re still reading this or not, but this board isn’t about just patting you on the back and saying, “There, there.” If people thought you had a valid beef, most of us would be commiserating (not all, because we’re an ornery bunch). You do seem to be over-reacting and talking about strange things here; you’re not making a lot of sense.
We’re gross?! None of us had 6 cans of cat food in our recycle bin - and had it on our hands. Eww. You can smell that from upstairs!
Am I wrong in assuming that using the words stray, putting the “my” in quotes and the use of disposable bowls means this isn’t the OPs cat being fed inside her house/apt?
If so - did it ever occur to the OP that maybe she DID put the food out every day, and one of the other people in the neighborhood don’t like the two of you feeding stray cats (you know - they type of animals the OP claimed would be attracted by food and a reason for not leaving it in the bin), and got pissed off and dumped the food in your bin (so not as to attract animals that you have no business doing). They put the bowls back to make it look like the food had been eaten.
Next day - unknown neighbor comes out again - sees more food - gets pissed off - does the same thing.
If so - that neighbor is brilliant as not only did they achieve their goal of not getting that cat fed for four days, but now the OP is blaming it on the poor nice lady who offered to take care of the cat (but who is jealous of her so much that she decides to retaliate against a cat).
I am guessing I read it wrong - cause if so - it would make even less sense than I originally thought it did.
My cat’s breath smells like cat food.
Yes, but what does your recycling smell like?
It’s so cold currently it doesn’t smell of anything right now except snow.
This is a warning for you. Insults like this are not allowed in this forum. Take it to the Pit if you want to call names.
If you can’t control yourself in this topic from now on, don’t post in it anymore or take a break for a bit…otherwise, reel that temper and outrage in.
This is a bit out of line for this forum too, so avoid making posts like this outside of the Pit.
