Not that this will help the OP’s problem, but one of the all-time great stories about neighbors from Hell was Jean Shepherd’s _"“The Grandstand Passion Play of Delbert and the Bumpus Hounds”_, a portion of which was brought to the silver screen in “A Christmas Story” (the climactic moment comes when 4,293 blue ticked Bumpus hounds come roaring into the neighbor family’s kitchen and steal the Xmas ham).
Maybe Mel Gibson will do a full-length feature some day. 😃

I thought those were the rules for dealing with an isolated outbreak of bovine spongiform encephalitis. 😕
