I like Paka and Popoki, also. It may wind up being one or the other, but I’m hoping more people can come in with more languages. For instance, I remember hearing an interesting sounding one that was, I think, Apache. Sadly, I don’t remember what it was. I remember I liked it a lot. As for pictures, I don’t have too many yet. I took a few last night, but he was pretty busy exploring his new home so they’re kinda fuzzy. Aww! What a pretty little stripped sweetheart you have! Neko’s also gorgeous. I’m not a linguist so I don’t have any suggestions. The word koshka always makes me smile because that’s what my Russian next door neighbor’s biligual child shouts when he sees my female cat. For some reason he reserves the word cat for our male kitty. ---

In Finnish cat is Kissa (pronounced KEESE-ah) and kitten is just Pikku Kissa (PEEK koo KEESE ah) ---

As someone’s already pointed out, “cat” in Indonesian / Malay is _kucing_, but you need to know that the _c_ is pronounced _ch_, so it’s like _kuching_. In Arabic, try _hirr_ (like “her” but roll the r). ---
