I firmly stand by the “fairy tale”-ism, but an explicit call to arms it was not. I believe the Hillary staff views this campaign as demographic warfare. But they certainly couldn’t expressly say or show it. That’s why digging deeper on these political ads is fun; the outer-crust must be punctured to get to the core. Thank you for posting this. I now finally understand what you are saying and am more comfortable completely disagreeing with you. Given the fact that the Obama Presidency Has mostly been marked by stready and ultimately strong economic recovery, I don’t see why you’re troubled with an ad showing people not homeless or eating old socks. It’s not like she portrayed everyone as sipping white wine in penthouse apartments or yachting to the islands for the weekend. ---

What would the “reality of life” have shown? What in her video is incompatible with the “reality of life” of minorities? Do real minorities not smile and hug their significant others? Do they not have fun time with their families? Do they not work? Do they not talk about their goals and struggles? Which parts of the video were not “reality” for minorities (in minutes and seconds)? ---
