Yeah, this is weird.

Lately, within the last month or two, when I smell warm foods, I get a very subtle underlying burnt rubber smell. I have no idea why, but it’s there.

This is new to me, and I can’t figure out why.

TMI: My poop also has the same unpleasant subtle burnt rubber undertone.

As far as I can tell nothing else smells differently, just warm organic substances.

Is this a precursor to diagnosing a horrendous disease? What’s up?

You should definitely get to the doctor. It may be any number of things but smelling burning rubber is a textbook symptom of epilepsy, brain tumor, and a number of other things of that magnitude.

It could also be migraines, a sinus infection, or absolutely nothing but the sense of the smell for unknown reasons but it would be a good idea to get it checked out if it has lasted for over a month.
