ABORTION IS MURDER. there are two bodies involved. The womans and that of the life she carries: it is selfishness, heartlessness and hedonism in its most vile, deplorable form to believe that the life created is inconsequential if it means that that life might interrupt the entertainment level or inconvenience the mother or the father in any way. God have mercy on us all for this evil which our laws now sanction. God have mercy on those who defend this “right” God have mercy on those of us who know it is evil and who say nothing. ---

I don’t know a single woman for whom the choice to have an abortion had anything to do with inconvenience or “interruption of entertainment level.” In fact, from what I’ve seen, it’s a horrible, wrenching thing to have to go through, and I hope I’m never put in the position of having to make the choice. How many women do you know, **Nocturne** , if any, that have made this decision? How was it for them? Just flip a switch - oops, made a mistake - and go on with life? I find that hard to believe. ---

If it is such a heart wrenching thing for the women to go through, how come half of women who have one abortion have another? It seems like they would cease the irresponsible behavior so they would never have to go through it again. ---

There are no real arguments at all in your post (or maybe I am just too stuckup to see them :rolleyes: and it is cruel to those of us here who have had an abortion. Even if it sounds dumb, the only thing I can think of that equals your extreme opinion (unless it was a hoax… was it? I am not sure actually)well the only thing I can think of is to say that wanking is murder too. Think of all the poor spermies!!! You write there are two bodies involved… in my opinion: one body, one fetus. If you count the fetus as a human being and give it rights, you are taking rights from the already existing human through enforcing the unborn’s rights. God has nothing to do with this if you ask me. One of the reasons why the abortion rate is so high (and also teenage mothers are getting more and more common) is religion (not religion itselfs, just some of the people who know too little about it and preach too much in their sparetime) Sex is bad. But using condoms/taking the pill is equally bad… worse even? This cant lead anywhere. Waiting until marriage might be a nice concept, and it might work for some, but not for everybody. Scaring people doesnt usually help solve problems. Telling kids less about “flowers and bees” but more about contraception would be nice… it might not solve the problem, but it would help. dodgy ---

One last thing - **TexasSpur** , having sex !necessarily= “irresponsible behavior.” Particularly if one (or both) parties are using birth control (as they should be). Birth control **does** fail, as has been mentioned elsewhere on the board. Unexpected/unwanted pregnancies can happen to almost anyone choosing to have sex (our GBLT friends avoid this particular hazard neatly). In, or out, of marriage. Unless you’re suggesting that those who don’t want to get pregnant should _only_ be having sex with members of their own gender until they want/can afford a pregnancy and/or are married. Which doesn’t necessarily sound like a bad idea. ---
