8 weeks ago myself and my colleagues were told that the office we work at was going to close and we would be out of a job. Since then I’ve spent at least 4 hours a day reading posts on this message board. I’d like to thank all of you who post here for two solid months of quality entertainment! This is my last day at work and I’m really going to miss all of the banter, abuse and witty rejoinders that have been flung around! I’m not posting this in the BBQ pit so I can pit my employers as they have given me a severance pay that will ensure I can buy lots of nice presents for my friends and family at Christmas. I’ll also not have to work for the next 6 months as I have enough money to see me through till June. 😃 I’m posting it here for two reasons; Firstly, this is the forum that has provided the most entertainment over the last 2 months. Secondly, I’m on a high at the moment. If anyone out there is in need of a target to rant at, have a pop at me. I have karma to spare today! Take care, Captain. ---

That’s certainly an interesting twist on what usually happens here. Normally, people spend 4 hours a day browsing these boards, _then_ lose their jobs! ---

**Captain Quigers** , please, get yourself out of the pub and to a library with public computers with internet access or into a pub with such computers! Among other things, when I was on the dole a year ago, this place kept me sane (well, relatively sane;)). Come on – you could become part of the show! Cap’n Q: Why not invest some of your money in an internet connection and stay on? Not to get all practical on you, but if you were to get another job _before_ June; the severance would be a windfall, rather than just enough to get by. Cheers, W. ---
