My opinion: Some websites say your password is wrong when its not

If your password is good, it’ll remain good for centuries. If it’s bad, then you’re probably just going to replace it with another one that’s just as bad.

And even if your password is super strong, you can still get hacked if the web site stores passwords in the clear and their database gets hacked.

The email address for one group of accounts I use has, according to Google, shown up in 47 different hacked user account databases.

I use a password manager. Starting a few months ago, one of my banks would generate a message saying the password was wrong and prompting me to enter it again, which the password manager would do, and that time I’d get into the site. The bank would also generate an email warning me that an incorrect password had been used to try to gain access to my account. This happens every time.
