ARGH!!! :mad: My picture got taken when I was promoting my Go Society (it’s a kind of “chess”), and I didn’t think much of it at the time. But then, someone gives me a call today. Guy: “Hey, did you read the Guardian yesterday?” Me: “No, why?” Guy: “DUDE! Your picture was in the paper, man! Together with [otherguy]!” Me: “No way.” Guy: “Look, I’m serious here!” Me: “OMGOMGOMGOMGBBQ!” Guy: “Yeah, it was some article about international students. Look, I don’t have the paper either, but I’m gonna ask around.” Me: “OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGROTFLYMMVBBQ!” Guy: “See you later, man.” And, of course, it being YESTERDAY’S (Tue, 8th Feb, 2005) paper, and TODAY being (Web, 9th Feb, 2005), I can’t find a single copy of that paper! And the online version of the Guardian doesn’t have pictures! ☹ [sub]_sniffle_[/sub] ---

Check with your local library. They probably have a copy you could photocopy. ---

I can top the OP’s story. Along about 1983 or '84, a schoolmate told me someone had had Garrison Keillor send me a greeting from them on the _Prairie Home Companion_ show. (Keillor reads people’s greetings to their friends & family about midway through the program.) I wasn’t tuned in, and inquiries to several friends revealed no one who had been at a _PHC_ broadcast. I suppose it _could_ have been some _other_ **Beware of Doug** … ---

Give them a bell - they’ll post you a copy as they’ve used your piccie, it’s common practice. here’s the department you need to deal with - let me know if you get nowhere - my Missus is a journalist and knows people who work on the Gaurdian and Observer.
