We finally have fall weather in Sacramento! Forecasts stay in the 70s for about the next week, a grocery clerk told me she’d heard a forecast for rain Monday.

Hi, honeys, I’m home!! As it turned out, we did go to Muncy, which turned out to be a good thing. \*\*FCD \*\*found a mill he liked that was a good bit cheaper than the one he saw on line.
On the other hand, the drive home took forever. We left around noon, stopped once for lunch, once for gas, and once for a potty break, and with the traffic, the less-than-five-hour trip took six anna half hours. I got a lot of afghanning done, so there’s that.
We’re both winding down now. The house is open, since tonight is supposed to be cool. Sunday is gonna be downright brisk! And we’re going to work on Monday. I don’t get paid holidays anyway and \*\*FCD \*\*has a big project to attack, so we’ll be in the office. Yay for getting paid! 😃
So, no long weekend for us this time. Maybe next month…

I am going to post my facebook status because I don’t feel like retyping how my day went since I am emotionally exhausted and still a little shaken up:

The storm is catching up to my location and it will be getting dark soon. I start typing a frantic Facebook status (which apparently never posted from my phone) and texting my husband to let him know what is going on, say a little prayer asking to be safe and get help soon before someone fails to see me and rear-ends me, then I see blue lights flashing behind me. A State Trooper walks up to my car and asks if I am ok. I told him I had assistance coming in an hour, and he asks me if I would be willing to sign off on a form giving him permission to change my tire for me and get me on my way. I wanted to cry again, but this time in relief and gratitude (I am a big emotional baby). He gets my tire changed in 2 min flat and I am well on my way back home by 5:30p. My tire was completely shredded, and I am lucky I have front wheel drive, because I think that kept me from losing control. I don’t know how many of you believe in a God, but I personally feel I was protected tonight. Thank God for the State Trooper, and Thank God I am home safe. It just started storming here at home, so I am going to enjoy my family and be grateful I made it without any serious problems.

Wow, **Apes** , that does not sound like fun at all. I’m so happy that the state trooper happened by. Glad you made it home safely.
Work has been yucky and tiring. I am grateful for a 3-day weekend.
Am going to find something to watch online.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 63 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and dry, dry, dry. However, yestiddy the high was supposed to be 87 and it did not get above 80 so who knows today. No big plans so it can do whatever it wants to do.
**Apes** so glad you’re ok and that State Trooper earned major Karma points. So glad he was there. As to gettin’ to sleep in, this advice is probably a little late for this time but keep it in mind. I heard that a little vodka in the nighttime juice can result in a long sleep in for the weary parent(s).
There’s probably a good reason why I was not meant to be a parent. 😃
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is demandin’ to be fed. I want to wait until OYKW stirs to make a for real brekkie. Maybe some peanut butter on a slice of bread will make tummy happy until then.

TVCTPMO fired a shot across my bow this morning.
The Family Truckster is 5 and a half years old. Car batteries have a 5 year life, and this one went Tango Uniform on me today, stranding me at the dump. Had to beg for a jump start.
Getting the battery changed out was pretty painless except for the $110 price tag. I am glad it happened now instead of to the wife while I’m on the Left Coast.

**BBBobbio** if the battery lasted that long, consider yourself lucky. Twuck battery died in June, right at the three year mark when I bought twuck new. Glad it didn’t happen to VWife cause that would have been your fault even if you were clean across the country.

Lazy day here today. Plan to do a couple big batches of food to be consumed over the next few days (hey, if I’ve gotta heat the oven and clean up the kitchen, might as well maximize what I get from it), get caught up on DVR stuff.
