So sorry to hear this - but take comfort in the fact that she was planning for a happier future and her death was sudden and not a lingering painful process. You and her husband have my deepest sympathies. ---

There are four young’uns in the picture too who have lost Grandma/Auntie. I get my sarcasm from Sis. Here’s a decades-old example that has somehow stayed with me: I was a teenager, still living at home. I took out the trash one day and semi-carelessly tossed the bags near the curb. Mom was pissed: “_I had to go out there and re-arrange all those garbage bags_!!” Sis: “Did they look nice after you were done?” Yeah, I miss her. mmm ---

You ought to tell that story about your sister when folks gather for the funeral/wake/memorial. It’s the kind of thing I hope family and friends will tell when I die. I’m sorry to hear about your loss. Sometimes it seems harder when you don’t have time to “ready yourself” for it. ---

I can only imagine how terrible it must have been for you to get that news. If I lost my sister I’d probably be an inconsolable nutcase for weeks. ---
