When I started reading the SDMB, 10 years ago or so, I was forty pounds thinner, had hair and ate with utensils. I still eat with utensils… ---

Middle school is a cesspool. By high school most people have grown up a little and aren’t complete assholes. You still have your moments, but people learn to leave other people alone a bit more. ---

When I signed up for the SDMB, I was preparing for a long career as an archivist/historian at a university in the UK to be named later, supporting my then-wife the Norse language expert. Yes, things turned out a little differently than planned. ---

The only problem is that he’s likely going to be attending high school with the same people that he attended middle school with so his reputation is going to transfer over.
