# My summer vacation is here. No external contact for a week. Ahhhhh.....

Well, Saturday I leave for a week in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. No TV, no phone, no fax, no email, no responsibilities, no cigar-chomping boss barking down my shirt, and no-- oy-- Straight Dope.

It’ll be the first time I spend a week straight with my family (read: parents) in about 13 years. My mom talked me into going up to the cottage with them, and I hope I don’t live to regret this. I love my family and all, but jeez, how much can a man take?

I’m just looking forward to laying by a lake, baking in the sun (they do have sun in the UP, don’t they?), and sleeping a _LOT_.

And I can’t wait to see my mom’s reaction when I walk up with two cases of Miller High Life. 😃
