I am not for mocking, in any way, any religious icon but I do believe you have the right to do so if you wish. _Christians_ making death threats because of a chocolate Jesus with his twig and berries hangin out just seems so…hypocritical, on a couple of levels. I wonder how many of those outrage christians went :rolleyes: when the muslims were outraged by a caricature of Muhammad. But a naked Jesus is a reason to threaten someone’s life? Come on… :mad: . If I were a Christian I would be pissed but I wouldn’t go so far as you impinge upon anyone’s 1st Amendment rights just because I don’t like something. However…Did you know that if you eat 25lbs of chocolate in one sitting you will get high, like you smoked a joint? It’s true! So a giant statute of Jesus ought to really put you out there, maybe high enough to look down on God and say “Hey” 😃 ---

The Naked Jesus o’ Chocolate™ display has been cancelled. Y’know, if most of the world’s Christians just bothered to follow the Second Commandment (First Catholic Commandment) in the first place, this thing never would have happened. (The Catechism of the Catholic Church, line 2141, states “The veneration of sacred images is based on the mystery of the Incarnation of the Word of God. It is not contrary to the first commandment,” but that still doesn’t explain why most Christians- Catholic and non-Catholic alike- let graven images slide. Then again, that would be difficult, since you wouldn’t be allowed to watch TV, have most products, use money, etc.) ---

From the video and photos it appears that the chocolate is blooming, so… ew. It makes Naked Jesus look like he’s suffering from some particularly nasty skin condition. Maybe that’s the problem - psoriasis _is_ pretty offensive. Not to see, to experience. ---

Who cares if people hate your work with a passion, at least they’re passionate about your work. Joe-wine-and apple-painter can’t say that. ---
