This is very exciting! I’ve been working very hard on it for almost a week, and I’m ready to test. I’ll probably make my first test run tomorrow. Or, as we time travellers call it: yesterday. 😉 Just kidding. If not tomorrow, then maybe Wednesday after work. We’ll see (busy busy busy). Anyways, I’ll let you all know how the test goes. Creating a time machine is easy: Let’s all of us Dopers commit ourselves to the creation of a time machine. Each of us is to watch for emerging technologies we could exploit in its creation. If, during our lifetimes, such technologies do not emerge, it is each of our duty to engage our children and children’s children to be on the lookout. Once the technologies emerge, our next task is to raise the funds. If no one lifetime is sufficient,… etc. Clearly, if we are resolved to this, eventually a time machine will be created. As we pass down this commitment from generation to generation, let us also pass down this date/time “May 14, 2007 - 10:00 am (EST)”. Whichever of our descendents eventually succeeds, she is to return to this date/time and post the detailed schematics. Ready… set… ---

Just remember to set up a failsafe unit as a back-up. A storage lock-up facility would be a good place for this. ---
