Probably the whole island too. For some reason, this morning everywhere smells of horse shit. I’ve checked my shoes and I don’t think it’s me:rolleyes: (the rolleyes is meant to be an ‘it wasn’t me’ face) I probably shouldn’t Pit my town for stinking, but that smell is strong! ---

I remember in Worthington, MN, how the whole town was scented by the pig rendering plant. One got used to it, but when the wind was wrong, one wished one lived next to a nice, clean pulp mill. (Yes, I know how a pulp mill smells.) It’s so nice to live out here in the boonies of northern Montana, where the most common aroma on the breeze is sweetgrass. 🙂 ---

Well, Lobsang you could always follow the scent, toting a shovel. When you find the source, bring some back to your place and start a nice tomato garden. Horse manure makes WONDERFUL tomatos. 😉 That’s one way you could “make lemonade out of that lemon”. 🙂 ((Lobsang)) You poor thing. You have my sympathy. Why has no one mentioned Slough U.K. yet? If the wind blows one way it smells of chocolate from the Mars factory, and if it blows the other it smells of the nearby sewage works. The town where I was born, now famous from 'The Office" tv series. People who lived or worked in Slough, fondly remember it, like some old war from which they barely survived. ---

Driving to work, I noticed the area smelled of horse poo. This is odd because it has never smelled of horses before. Generally it smells of cow and people poop (not the best sanitation around there). Gotta say I was intrigued, not something I usually am when offal is concerned. And with all that smell of horse poop, there’s gotta be ponies somewhere. Get to searchin’! ---
