My closest friend has two (small) extra kneecaps. When we were undergraduates he suffered great arm pain whilst writing. They cut him open and found that his nerves ran through the centre of his arm muscles, rather than around the muscle. He is a lawyer, and at his wedding we were treated to a reading of his formal proposal. It included a schedule which was a list of defects. picmr ---

Let’s straighten something out first: A lone anus one is an anus. A lonely anus is an “Ennui”. Two or more are “Anuses”. The species as a whole is referred to as “Anui”. ---

I think Asmodius is right about the pilonidal cyst. Oldscratch - trust me, you don’t wanna see one. After they operated on mine in the old Balboa navy hospital my ass looked like I sat on a hand grenade. ---

Will ask my father, when he gets home, if he has any clue as to why someone would have two assholes. ---

If I’m not mistaken… and I might be… memory seems to be failing. The digestive tract begins to form VERY early on… with a hollow “tube” going through the center of the zygote (now just a clump of a few cells) soon after fertilization. one opening on one side eventually becomes the mouth… the other side the anus. I beleive this happens in the gastrulation phase. I think. ---

Speaking of nether orifices, trivia fans, Rush Limbaugh got out of the draft during the fun days of Vietnam due to a pinoidial cyst. Yep, good ol’ Rush, the fiery super-patriot who made a career sneering at Clinton’s college deferment to attend Oxford. Since Rush The Hawk dropped out of college, it’s more than a little amusing that he was forced to use this condition to get out of military service. Not something he advertises, especially since his father had the same condition and served through WWII. The scope for tacky humor is breathtaking. Veb ---
