My weekend plans

I just ordered a new graphics program, Illustrator 9.0, hopefully it will be here on Friday.

I already know that I will be spending a majority of my weekend playing with my new program and incorporating that into Macromedia Flash.

Look out world, I should be a graphics genius in no time!

If it doesn’t arrive I will be antsy all weekend.

Have fun!

Beer…Pool…Barbecue…Nuff said…

An antsy techchick?

This doesn’t bode well.

Hmmm I’ll be recovering from the cast party from the show I’m in. Relaxing, hitting the pool and working on my tan. Finding my suitcase and doing laundry for my up and coming trip

Tech, hon, weren’t you just complaining about having no social life? And now you’re planning a weekend alone a week ahead of time?

Sounds like fun! But try CAD next. Once you use it you can’t go back to drawing programs–you’re too spoiled by the complete mastery you have over the picture.

dropzone,

I prefer to use drawing programs. CAD programs have a HUGE learning curve (which Illustrator does too, but not that sharp) and for what I do, Illustrator suits me fine.

As for my non-social weekend…there aren’t too many places I would go anyway. If I did go out it would be Friday after work with my client’s employees. Other than that I am not into being ultra social.

I suppose I stopped noticing the learning curve, since I’ve been CADding it up for longer than some Dopers have been alive.

I get so frustrated using a mouse to draw. But, until lately, you had a choice between a mouse or a stylus and I have to share the computer with my NTKs (Non-Technical Kids) so swapping back and forth would be a pain AND important. When I get a decent job I’m going to get one of those new stylus & mouse rigs.

As if I could ever draw freehand.

Have fun. I bet you’ll love Illustrator. You seem to be the sort of person who will keep at it until you succeed. I wasn’t surprised to learn you are a Leo!
