A question for those of you who’ve more experience watching operas. Subtitles – Do they do them/how do they do them at live performances. The two I’ve seen on TV have had what appears to be the gist of what the singer is “saying” superimposed. If I was to go to a live performance, I feel I would be hopefully lost. Lost enough to be turned off the whole genre. ---

At the Met in New York, there’s a digital display on the back of the seats (which allows people who don’t like titles to turn them off). ---

Word is that they all liked it except for Jerry, who kept falling asleep and snoring enough to cause a bit of a scene. ---

Phil Lesh is not only the bassist for the Grateful Dead, he’s the best bassist that ever trode this Earth.
