oh no, I just saw this. I’m so sorry for your loss. I also think, context be damned; 37 years is just as real and true even if the first couple of them were spent growing into romantic love. I’m so sorry and I hope the mundane bureaucratic crap goes as smoothly and gently as it possibly can. ---

The grief and mourning must be pretty intense. She was your partner in life for 37 years, you essentially become part of each other. So in grieving for the loss of your wife, you may also be grieving the loss of a part of yourself. You have my deepest compassion for what you’re going thru in such a devastating lost. I hope you find peace. ---
