# My wife just brought home a big box of crack

My wife just brought home a big box of crack from Costco.
Sure, it says “Pop Tarts” on the label, but the effect is straight off the narcotic charts on me. My heart races as I anticipate the toasty goodness, slathered with sugar on top & within.
The flavor inside is not terribly important - I like to fool myself that the fruit flavored ones are healthier but I like the sugar-on-sugar flavor of the brown-sugar ones, too.
If I wasn’t at work, I’d probably have eaten half a box by now.
So, for which foods to you lack control?

I myself can’t stop eating peanut butter on toast. If I even think about having one slice, I end up having 5 more. Hot and melted, with salt on it. Thankfully I haven’t got any in the house at the moment.

My coworker and I are similarly afflicted, when we saw the boxes on sale 2/$2 we would stock up with about 10-15 boxes…gotta be plain strawberry though!
I haven’t had them in four weeks…grumble grumble diet…but I’ll look good in that Utilikilt next spring!

Ever since I bought a “vintage” West Bend Stir Crazy popcorn maker (you know the kind, with the yellow dome on top that turns into the serving bowl when you flip it over), I can’t get enough of popcorn.
Of course, it has to be laden with butter and coated in salt, first.

Pickles are my downfall. Crunchy, ‘zesty’ dills are the best. My midnight snacks usually consist of about 3 pickles and a couple of strip of jerky. Mmmm…
I’m not a sugar person. Salt is where I get into trouble.

Salsa and chips; preferably a medium-hot chunky salsa. Chipotle salsas are my favorites because of the smoky flavor, but I really love fruity salsas like Paul Newman’s peach salsa. Nowadays I usually buy medium Old El Paso, Pace, or Newman’s in the 64-ounce plastic jugs (depending on which brand is on sale), and it rarely lasts longer than a week.
As for chips, they are more of a salsa-delivering mechanism than anything else, although I will go through a bag of chips by myself if left alone with them. I’ve currently taken to buying the reduced-fat Ritz crackers for my dipping needs, since they still taste pretty good and are a million times healthier than greasy fried chips.
