Considering that most of those family farms depended on slaves to keep the money coming in, my sympathy is minimal. It’s supposed to be at 2:15, but when I talked to him just 15 minutes ago, he had just finished a load and wasn’t sure if they were going to bring him in yet. Hmm, it seems like I was going to say something else, but I must have been sidetracked or something. I need to get back to the grindstone anyway. Smooches to all. ---

She was my good friend. She and her husband were the only non-family to have an honor at our recent Bar Mitzvah. We had plans to have Shabbat dinner once a month together. Her husband and son went out for an afternoon outing on Sunday (which they had invited my daughter along to, but she couldn’t go). When they came home they found her, already gone. A massive heart attack. My husband spoke with her husband at about 1:30 pm. By 6pm the calls started going out. She had been complaining of heartburn earlier that day. In women, heartburn can be a sign of a heart attack. Sometimes it’s just heartburn, though. Who knows. She was a dear, dear friend and I am so sad. I will miss her every day. Be at peace. ---

Let them stand for what they were–testimonies and memorials for “the glorious fallen”. But it’d be nice if in Southern museums and such that Union soldiers were given some room (and vice versa). **Ivory** –how awful. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew a woman who found her husband dead in an armchair from a massive MI–he had been up late watching TV. Young (mid 30s), fit (he ran, IMS), no genetic risk factors that we could discover. Terrible. ☹ ---

If it doesn’t come up with the aerial photo, you can bring it up. The top of the triangle made by 5 and 238 is where the Helen post office sits - it’s practically spitting distance from my house. Ok, so I was making dinner and I needed some aluminum foil so I reached in the drawer to pull out the box and in doing so, ripped my middle and ring fingers right at the nailbed from the Saran wrap box which had it’s lethal edge pointing the wrong way. Lots of blood and yelling (swearing) ensued. I realized I don’t have any pics of the house online. I don’t have any of where I work, either. I just am. 🆒 ---

I’m so sorry for your loss, **Ivory**. I’ve had to deal with several sudden deaths of colleagues (not immediate co-workers, but people I’d worked with frequently) and that was hard enough. It scares me to even imagine that scenario with a close friend. ☹ Congrats on the niece, **Nava**! Glad everything went well. Hopefully SIL will be less protective this time around. And does **gotti** even stop to appreciate the fact that he was first on page 2? No, no he doesn’t. I am shocked. And deeply disappointed. 😛 Oh, and didn’t they tell you? This is actually a secret society of people who work in places that can’t be photographed. I’m sure I read it in the welcome packet. Still haven’t uploaded pictures I took last week. (Also, I have a couple more that I want to take. Tonight I am filled with a medium amount of grrr (it was a large amount until I started playing with the pups). I went to an information session tonight to see about a medically supervised low calorie diet. I have been losing weight very slowly but I thought that this might help to speed things up for awhile. Unfortunately, this diet is not available to persons who are on lithium. I mean, I thought that was the _point_ of supervising. Grrr. ---

(\*It’s the papers of a poet who was born in East Nowhere NC and later went on to win several major awards. I spent August to November of last year organizing the unholy mess that the papers were in when they arrived into something searchable and acid-free.) ---

I’d pit myself for this, but it’s really kind of silly. Somedays, even though I’m extremely tired I seem to have an irrational fear of going to bed. I actually do better when I’m in TVLand because we go to bed at the same time. I don’t know why this happens but it irritates the heck out of me.:dubious::smack: Ok, I really am off to bed very soon.
