Our town would be dead due to the drought without it though. My home town has also made the national news, but that’s because the governor was getting it on the side in a whole nother country. ---

Forgive the ignorance of an American, but just what is a “ute”? I looked at some of the images and many of them have trucks or cars. Is it a vehicle? But I also saw a lot of images that looked liked concerts or rodeo riding. Help me out? ---

My home town [hit the national news](http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jun/17/beaver-scout-drowned-trip) just a coupla weeks ago - I know the little boy’s family. ☹ ---

The place where I live did too. Apparently, one of our more famous residents just croaked.
