Nobody has mentioned [Kinky Friedman](http://www.kinkyfriedman.com/) yet! He’s a semi-retired country singer, best known for such songs as “Get Your Biscuits in the Oven and Your Buns in the Bed”, who now writes mysteries starring himself and his real-life friends. Very strange, and very funny. ---
