NETA: Duh, I wrote that post forgetting that scum don’t know their roles either. So any discussion of **BM** ’s “strategy” in sending me that message is moot.

I would assume (as **Pizzaguy** put forth) that there’s more than one different type of cop…because if everything we’ve heard, so far, is to be believed, there were at least two roles out there that gave out false info (\*\*Blaster’\*\*s and whoever’s **Jan** ’s result came from (saying \*\*gnarly \*\*is a wolf))(If **Jan** just didn’t make it up herself).
Assuming the first is the case, that means there’s still a role out there that can redirect possible false results.

Note that there are 7 votes on Inner (one withdrawn) in the range of less than 90 posts. Also note that both of our claimed masons had their final votes on Inner.

>
> So it seems to me that the Scum hiding in the lynch would be in the group: pwnsall, Normal, Episkey, Drain Bead, Idle, and NAF. And there may be room for suspicion in the bandwagon on Inner. Not at the moment but tomorrow maybe. After all the talk yesterday why on earth would “I” try and out a scum that is a semi confirmed Town??? Especially after we found out that scum could pass on there alignment in a message. It’s beyond belief and I am outraged with the vote. I don’t believe he has even read everything!

Quick thoughts from \*\* Inner’s \*\* posts

>
> My first guess is that Dancecat has some sort of broadcasting role. When he targets a player, he tells them his alignment.

Correct there ( could have been his target)
When \*\*CQ \*\* was agreeing about a Vig’s role.

> (But I strongly suspect you’re going to be dead in the morning and if you’re not, it’s gonna take a hell of a lot of villagery posts for me to think about soft clearing you.)

> [@Inner\_Stickler](#):
>
> What would be the scum motivation for that? In order for it to work, he’d have to think Town was stultifyingly dumb. Is that your argument? That Mykbot thinks we’re all morons? Bad townies maybe. Anti-town behavior is not the same as scummy behavior. Townies can very easily propose plans that hurt town. You have to look at the motivations of the poster. If they’re scum, how does it help them? Just because you don’t like something because you think it hurts town doesn’t automatically mean it’s scummy.

[spoiler]

> [@Inner\_Stickler](#):
>
> Ok, so at the point where Silver Jan accuses gnarly of being a wolf, the logical course of action is to lynch him. (Well, there’s an argument for the most logical course of action being a vig taking him out in the night and we lynch from the pool of unknowns. But given that the only vig we are sure of is dead and while I would never doubt ATPG, I think it’s a bit premature to just assume he is the other vig, we really can’t rely on that method.) If he’s town and we lynch him, we reveal a wolf, Silver Jan at the cost of a mislynch. If he’s a wolf and we lynch him we don’t mislynch but we have exposed a role who is capable of receiving seer results. (Some have suggested everyone who targeted Naf and Septimus target Silver Jan if we lynch gnarly and she’s right. I would go a bit further and say if you got no apparent result for your night action and your target is still alive, you should target Silver Jan.) At this point Texcat claims to be in a masonry with gnarlycharlie and that they discovered each other last Night. If gnarly is scum, I don’t understand why Texcat would do this. Given a choice between lynching gnarly, texcat, or silver jan, I would want to lynch gnarly. His flip will either buttress or demolish both texcat and silver jan’s claims. If he flips town, we plan on lynching Silver Jan and Texcat is free to continue searching for other masons. And I don’t think this logic is too hidden so I have to assume that the scum team sees it as well. Given that, if gnarly got fingered as a wolf, a scum texcat should be hanging back, not leaping into the fray and linking himself irretrievably with gnarly. Now, Weedy shows up and says that he got a message that Texcat is a town and a mason. (I agree with whoever said it upthread that in terms of messages this one stands out like a fart in church with alignment and role information.) Clearly not every message can be true. Therefore none of the messages can be assumed to be true. And if Silver Jan is telling the truth then it really looks to me like half the friggin scum team just outed themselves and I just can’t believe that’s true.
>
> So, I’m feeling like it needs to be a decision between Silver Jan and gnarlycharlie. The weight of the messages seems to point at lynching Silver Jan, but Weedy’s message makes me raise an eyebrow and my gut would rather see gnarly dead than someone who appears to be getting cop results.

> [@Inner\_Stickler](#):
>
> Bleah, my brain went at a different speed than my hands. As I composed the last post I kind of questioned some of the assumptions I made at the beginning. I do not think right now, that anyone who thinks they could be a protective town power should target Silver Jan necessarily but it should be on the table. The townies we try to protect are obviously going to change based on who we trust and who we lynch.

> I’m torn on Texcat. There is a report that she’s town but it smells funky. Dancecat and Blaster Master seem a bit out of left field. They both have drawn fire in the past and these claims show up the day after one got quite a few votes and on the day the other picked some up. The report on Silver Jan showed up earliest and first which makes me want to trust it as it’s not a response to anything, it came unbidden. On the other hand, it could have been a plant to stir the pot. However, Gnarly’s flip would give us further insight into Silver Jan’s alignment. We can sit here and talk until the thread is 13 pages long and it won’t matter. Eventually we have to lynch someone and a good chunk of people are going to think it’s the wrong lynch. You, yourself, who can’t seem to hold onto an opinion for more than 2 posts will immediately shift your case if any one person seems to be the general consensus, especially if you were the firebrand that started that consensus in the first place. The Day is over in less than 24 hours. We need answers and I see Gnarlycharlie as a good place to get them. So, gnarly, jan, texcat, blaster master, dancecat.

> We had a whole discussion about Voting for Bad Ideas Yesterday and after everyone got on the same page, you came along and dropped your crap vote as if none of the discussion ever happened. So I voted for you. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings but lynching me’s not gonna answer any of the questions from today and that’s the more interesting mess. Frankly, if you’re\* not voting for one of the people invovled, and I would almost limit that to Jan, Gnarly, and Texcat, maybe Weedy, I can’t help but think you don’t want to leave a real record.

Pretty much the entire conversation that has happened on this last page is a retread of the conversation from last night. We got a bunch of alignment claims and everyone seems to think they should all be hands-off. I want to jump in the middle and get some answers.

It appears that \*\* Inner \*\* was after \*\* Charlie \*\* although his ‘results’ could well have been from \*\* DanceCat \*\* since he pegged her role.

In 2268, he explicitly says that he doesn’t find **Blaster Master** scummy, but of the leading lynch targets he’s the only one who didn’t get a message, and he doesn’t want to lynch one of those. Then in 2449, he says he likes the **Blaster** lynch better than lynching the masons/receivers, but votes **Inner** because he prefers the case against **Inner**.

In the first post, he realizes that he’s boxed himself into it, and spends that post and the next post trying to wriggle his way out, doing so without saying much in the way of anything one way or the other. If I had to guess which of the late voters were Scum, it would be him.

[non-game-related] I’m a she, fyi [/non-game-related]

Eesh, I was wrong wrong wrong ☹ But I really didn’t find BlasterMaster scummy. I liked the case (s?)he made about Scuba\_Ben and I didn’t want to vote for someone I found townie. The bandwagon on BlaM was going pretty much unchallenged which I thought proved even more that he wasn’t a wolf. The only other person who had even a vote or two was Inner so I thought that was the best place to put a vote to save someone I thought was town.

So yeah, I tried to save a wolf and lynch a town cop:smack: My brilliance has overwhelmed me today.

Oh, and since BlaM was the one leading the case against Scuba\_Ben, that means my main suspect is probably town too. Really, everyone should just look at who I find scummy and treat them as confirmed town from now on. :o

In, trying to catch up. How would the wolves haved “picked up” guri’s gun? Only thing that really makes sense is the wolves killed him so they got his gun, thus that’s the reason why they got a night kill and a night vig last night. There’s also the chance that all of that is simply flavor (color?).

I really don’t like that texcat and gnarly were spared their lives last night. If they really are both village masons the wolves should have turbo killed them off. It doesn’t make any sense to let the peeked village masons live while instead they kill off another messaged peek (dancecat). Dancecat’s “peek” wasn’t as strong as texcats and texcat/gnarly’s masonry makes them infinitely more valuable to the village than dancecat by himself was…

It looks like IS was probably killed because it becomes obvious that he’s a villager once a bunch of people pile on him at eod right before a wolf dies as lead wagon, but it also sort of exposes the people on that late wagon as potential wolves.

Trackers should probably start considering outing what information they have. It probably could have helped sort out the confusion yesterday if we knew who targeted who at all. Well, I don’t know if you’ve stated what you think your power is (or if you have any idea - don’t out it if you haven’t) but I think “no result” means your power didn’t work, and if you were roleblocked I think you would have also gotten a message. It’s likely your power worked but it’s something that won’t give you a result (for instance if you were a seer you would have gotten a result). IE you theoretically could be a doctor, roleblocker, redirector, randomizer, propagandist, town crier, lightning rod, etc. You not getting a result only means you can probably eliminate your chances of being a very small subset of roles, but with so many roles that affect other actions out there, even eliminating any possibilities is still hard to do.

I think I can help you in what your role might be, then.

Again, my type of play is to give any info I can, as I know it, so sorry if anyone thinks this might be a bad move–but I think it might be relevant to the fact if you’re one who thinks **Silver Jan** might be scum, too.

**My message toDay said that I was blocked from performing my Night action**. So unless someone else targeted me or my action was blocked away by some other means, somehow,\*\* I think that gives strong signs that Jan might be some kind of roleblocker.\*\*

Guiri is a village vig. Guiri is killed night one. Two villagers died n1, guiri and silman. Silman had 4 posts all day and isn’t from this board, he is very unlikely to have been the wolves night kill target on night 1, which makes it more likely that guiri was the night kill target.

When guiri is killed, and if his gun is “pickupable” after he dies, the only mechanic that makes sense to me is that the person(s) who killed him would get the gun.

The most likely scenario is that guiri was the n1 wolf kill, the wolves got his gun, and the wolves used that gun on another villager on n2 on Inner Stickler.

If a villager has this gun then they should just use it on themselves, there’s like .4% chance that inner stickler was actually a wolf after people pile on his wagon right before a wolf dies as the lead wagon.
