Does anyone else find it ā€œinterestingā€ that \*\* Idle \*\* mucked up his win-con but typed \*\* NAFFā€™s \*\* correctly (for Town) We may have to throw all these bits of information out with the bathwater ---

CORRECTED CORRECTED Summary of message shenanigans (the parentheses denote what we know about the content of the message but doesnā€™t say anything about the recipient). Night 1: Scuba Ben gets a message that Jan is a villager (veracity unknown) Weedy gets a message that Texcat is a villager and a mason (confirmed true) Giraffe gets a message that Blaster is a villager (confirmed false) Idle gets a message that Dancecat is a villager (confirmed true) \*\*Idle claims he \*\* gets a message that NAF is a villager and a mimic (unknown) Jan gets a message that gnarlycharlie is a wolf (confirmed false) We know Dancecat was able to send her alignment so that accounts for Idleā€™s message. We know Blaster could send false alignment so that accounts for Giraffeā€™s message Night 2: PCM gets a message that he is a villager and the apothecary (unknown) AskthePizzaGuy gets a message that NAF is a wolf (unknown; contradicted by Idle) AskthePizzaGuy gets a message that Episkey is a wolf (unknown) Donkx4 gets a message that Dancecat is a villager (confirmed true) Ed gets a message that he is a villager and a power booster (unknown) **Idle claims he** gets a message that Drain Bead is a villager and a reflector (unknown) Giraffe gets a message that pwnsall is a villager On Night 1, we had two messages with both role and alignment. Idle is pretty sure his is correct (about himself) and know that the message about Texcat is correct. So the question here is why PCM got one that doesnā€™t seem right (i.e., how did he get a message about role and alignment that wasnā€™t correct). Also, on this Night there are three role/alignment messages and only two on Night 1. Iā€™m not sure that means but itā€™s curious. Also, based on other claims, it seems that Ed is the power booster so at least that part of his message seems correct. And if we believe Idle, that leaves Episkey and PCM as the odd men out. Night 3: Scuba Ben gets a message that Weedy is a villager (unknown) **Idle claims he** gets a message that he is a villager and a detective (unknown) Episkey gets a message that pwnsall is a wolf (unknown; contradicts Giraffeā€™s message) [/QUOTE] ---

I think weā€™re better off taking everything he says with a large dose of salt. ---

Two Scum slips in two Days? I almost donā€™t believe it. But Iā€™ll take it šŸ™‚ So do we believe **Idleā€™s** claim that \*\*NAF \*\*is a mimic? Iā€™ll admit that I havenā€™t taken the time to work out how all of the recent reveals fit together, and I wonā€™t have time to sit down and diagram it all out until after work todayā€¦and with Idle being outed as a Wolf, Iā€™m not sure how much trust we can put in the things he told us. ---

Anything Idle said could have been a lie. However, I have reason to suspect this item to be accurate. 1. I had previously been leaning Town on Drain Bead. 2. Idleā€™s claimed role for Drain Bead resolves an inconsistency in my notes. And hereā€™s the fun part: **IF** Idle accurately reported the message he received about Drain Bead **and if** that message is valid, **THEN** at least one Wolf is within the set: { **Episkey, NAF1138** }. I base this conclusion on that resolved inconsistency in my notes. Now hereā€™s the problem\ in this: There are two big IF conditions there. Messages have been proven to be of varying validity, and we think there is an insane or paranoid whisperer out there. AOP ā€“ Idle says heā€™s honest even as Scum. Of course heā€™s Scum, so how honest _can_ he be? Hereā€™s a thought. Idle could be a Scum Mystic, and receiving the investigation results of another Mystic. Stranger things have happened in this game. ---
