So Yes.

From Silman’s death write up:

> [@](#):
>
> Silman, you are a Journalist. Each night beginning Night One, you select a target. **You will learn if your target’s night action has been** changed, **redirected** , or blocked. You will also overhear any messages sent to your target. Peeks do not count as messages. You are a Villager. You win when all threats to Town Village have been eliminated.

</div>

There was both a redirector and randomizer in the original mystery mash:

This is how the redirector role worked in the original game:

> [@](#):
>
> You are a Redirector . Every Night starting n1 , you redirect your target’s night action to your target. You are a Villager. You win by eliminating all non-villagers.

Which meant if I was a redirector, and targeted player X, X’s night action would hit player X.

And this is how the randomizer worked in the original game:

> [@](#):
>
> You are a Randomizer . Every Night starting n1 , you randomize your target’s night actions to a random target. "You are a Wolf. You win by reaching parity with the village.
>
> You will have 24-hr wolf chat starting N1. You are not permitted to communicate regarding the game outside the thread prior to then. "

Meaning if I was a randomizer, and targeted player X, X’s night action would hit a random target.

I can’t reread through the original game and figure out exactly how the randomizing worked (if the results went to a random player or if the target was changed by the results still went to the original player) because the wolves never figured out that their wolf player was the randomizer.
We can’t guarantee both of these roles are in this game, nor guarantee that they work they same if they are in this game, because the mods are going to have tried changing this game around enough to keep us poggers guessing.

I’m glad we somehow took out a wolf last night, but it’s a bummer that we lost our vigilante Guiri, especially since he’s a savvy player. The only other WW game I played where the villagers had a vig, we lost him on the first night as well (although he took the wolf seer out with him that same night).

I believe that, early in the game, the next best thing after actually lynching a wolf is lynching a villager who is either unwilling or unable to put thought into the game and be productive for the village. \*\*Meeko \*\*had reason to believe krayz would be like this, so I think his vote makes sense.

This seems very wolfy, and of course we now know that \*\*Mahaloth \*\*died and flipped wolf. \*\*Mahaloth \*\*could have decided to push the krayz wagon to protect at least one other wolf who was getting heat at the time. Maybe he saw two or three villagers already voting for krayz and decided he could blend in. For the record, at the time \*\*peekercpa **had three votes and the following players had two votes.

I have a full time job too so I can relate, but I still think it’s a suspicious in terms of its timing and tone, and it’s worth making note of. I will say that his last few sentences sound villagery, and he was paying attention to krayz before this vote.

Vote count was not forefront in my mind. If you read my posts I had made a case against \*\* krayz\*\* prior to the vote post which he decided was not worth explaining much . D1 I voted the person I felt was Scummiest (didn’t you?)

He said he’s from Brazil and has limited internet access. While that might explain why he hadn’t been active in the thread, it doesn’t explain his bizarre post. I imagine that a wolf who doesn’t know what’s going on in the thread would rather not vote at all than make a vote like this and attract attention to himself, but he might have not known any better and decided to vote for the leading villager bandwagon.

I think he said he was \* in\* Brazil. But it was still a Scummy post.

I’d appreciate any comments on my analysis in this post, and would like to hear from the people that I claimed acted suspiciously ( **Lightfoot** , **Precambrianmollusc** , maybe **Idle Thoughts** although that depends on **peekercpa** ’s afilliation). I’ll be back by tomorrow night at the latest.
>
> On a note related to game mechanics, I think it might be better if the night chat had its own thread. While it’s fun and mostly harmless, it can be a little distracting and it adds more no-content posts to the thread and makes it harder to read. I believe it makes reviewing previous days or analyzing posts from a certain user a little more time-consuming. A separate thread dedicated for night chat would allow players to talk with each other at night while keeping the game thread a bit more tidy and compact.

That is the way it’s done on other boards ie Idlemafia, Giraffe
(very nice for referencing) but I understand it is not practical here.

**MODERATOR NOTE**

There is an order for night actions. The most I will say about that order is that kills (including the wolf teamkill) happen after all other night actions, and night actions within each particular category are resolved essentially simultaneously as others within that category.

So I take that to mean it’s not totally first come first served. I do want to clarify that as I don’t think I will ever be awake at EOD and I suppose neither will gnarly. In a couple of games I have played the Mod gave us a countdown clock so we all knew how many hours were left in the Day, would this be possible?

Definitely not first come first served. For the countdown clock, do you mean how many hours are left in the Night? Because I try to provide the time remaining in the Day when I provide votecounts.

I feel like I’m completely out of my depth here right at the moment. I don’t generally have a problem with fast-moving games, but the pace of this one so far has been far beyond what I’m used to, and it has happened to coincide with some unusually busy days for me. I was able to follow the first 900 or so posts pretty carefully, but since then I’ve been skimming at best. I’ll try and catch up today, but I fear that by the time I get ‘current’, I’m going to be several hundred posts behind again…

A few observations so far:

Remember that with the exception of one player, **nobody** , Scum or Town, knew what their powers were going into Night 1. And it’s likely that most of us still don’t know what we actually do at Night. Killing and Investigative roles will likely know, assuming they weren’t blocked, but with the multiple attacks on \*\*Mahaloth \*\*even the folks who killed him can’t be 100% certain.

I think I understand \*\*Askthepizzaguy’s \*\*reasoning on why he claimed “probably Vig”. I don’t think I would have done the same in his position, but I think I get why he did. He has painted a target on his back (assuming he’s Town), but that doesn’t guarantee he’ll be Scum-bait Tonight. If we have a Watcher, then he would be a prime target for Tonight. (In my experience here, a Watcher will see any and all players who ‘visit’ their target on the given Night.) The Scum also might leave him alone for the simple fact that he is more likely to hit Town than Scum at this point. And that would be fine with me. It’s a risk for Town certainly, because it could lead to additional Town deaths, but it is a second Town kill, so I think the risk is acceptable for the time being.

I have no reason to doubt\*\* Idle Thoughts\*\* ‘claim’ at this point. It’s a rather convoluted story to make up, so I believe he did receive a message regarding **Dancecat**. Whether the info in the message is genuine or not is another matter. I don’t have a strong opinion either way on that as yet.

I don’t really have any thoughts on what **Krayz** ’ lynch might mean about some of the other players, because I haven’t had time to review the interactions of the latter part of Day 1.

Sorry for my relatively low participation so far. Hopefully the next few days will be less hectic and give me a chance to catch up and return to my normal posting volume (for better or worse).

What this means immediately to us, is that **pizzaguy** may be able to use his vig before he is killed (given he is indeed the vig and the wolves are indeed going to nightkill him). The vig shot might be processed before the wolf nightkill. Vig’s/NK’s are processed last but we don’t know for sure if the vig’s are processed before the nightkill.

No, that’s not what I meant, crikey, I can’t remember who did it, it was on a separate site that had the countdown clock to which ever time you put in. I am in South Africa and gnarly is in the Philippines (I think) and I think we have someone from the UK.

Whether the info in the message is genuine or not is another matter. I don’t have a strong opinion either way on that as yet.

**Idle’s** claim is almost certainly genuine (imo), but it doesn’t necessarily mean that idle is a villager. If a randomizer targeted the person whom targeted dancecat, the results could have ended up going to idle. That mechanic would have no bearing on idle’s actual role.

Additionally there’s the mystic seer theory in which 2/3 seers get the results from the others in the group, and in which case there could be a wolf mystic seer in with the group of village mystic seers. In the other game there was 3 mystic seers and one of them was actually a wolf.

So while I think **idle’s** claim about dancecat is probably true, the claim itself has no bearing on idle’s affiliation.

I’m not sure what shutdown you’re referring to. I had periods where I had to work and couldn’t post, but I was posting throughout the Day. Posts 824, 831, and 833 were all made within hours of Day’s end. And one of which was to you. So your argument seems like nothing but a thinly veiled excuse for your continued OMGUS vote.

I still think you’re a wolf. Reasons:

1. Your initial vote on me was out of character, IMO. As Town, you’re usually looking beyond superficial tells like that.

2. I think you overplayed your hand with the bet. That was a Hail Mary if ever I’ve seen one. Either other Town players would think you’d never make such a bet as a wolf or you could smudge us for not taking it. It reminds me of an all-in bluffer trying to induce a fold by promising to show their hand.

3. There was a lot of activity once you became the lynch leader. I think your fellow wolves got a bandwagon rolling to save you.
