It’s a case of “use your best judgement, based on what happened to you.” I think.

The only basic role that’s going to reveal to the target that they were targeted and leave them alive the next day is a roleblocker. Docs, cops, and watchers won’t reveal you were targeted, generally. And roleblocker is potentially either a scum or a town thing.

In some cases this will benefit us. No one can know how many players targeted their target too so if the information ‘feels’ valuable I could make a case for that information to be shared.

Naively, if everyone posts their targets truly, and say that information is worth 1 point per night, then town has 1 information and scum has 2 information. So town’s gone from “infinitely less information” to “half as much information”. After another night, then it’s 2 and 3, town closing the information gap yet again.
>
> At some point you can make the argument that improving the ratio of information between scum and town justifying paying for that improvement by increasing scum’s absolute amount of information. Especially if the information that you provide to both sides is such that a good lynch or other town action can flip the information ratio to our side.

> Figuring out when this is a wise decision is literally impossible on Day One in a closed game, but NAF’s plan isn’t ENTIRELY stupid, just a gamble right now with unknown odds–and in fairness, starting it now has the advantage of making it harder for scum to game the false information they reveal.
>
> We have what sometimes appears to be a track record around here of this kind of thing being poorly done enough such that it makes it EASIER for the wolves to find the seers.

certain info does not have the same value for wolves and villagers.

and everyone posting their night actions is probably the quickest way for the village to lose the game.
Not to be a jerk or anything, but the meta on this board from what I hear described is super explotable, such as no fakepeeks. I’d like to see someone like HerbieGRD from our board play as a wolf here, it would be pretty interesting.

Let’s not be ridiculous. We are talking about townies lying about who they targeted or what their role is, not what they had for breakfast.

It does seem like seers on this board must die constantly, which may be why this board doesn’t value them as highly as 2+2 does.

Come play in a more traditional game.

There is one starting up on [www.idlemafia.com](http://www.idlemafia.com) soon.

See what it is like without the culture clash and unusual game set up. You think your way of playing is better, and I am going to tell you that we all to a player think ours is better. We are both likely wrong.

I wonder if seers leave their peeks at all here until they claim.

krayz tends to be a very funny player, so that COME AT ME BRO post is pretty normal for him.

krayz, bro, if you’re a villager it might be good to not antagonize the locals.

Personally, I’m planning to be upfront with any actions that happen to me or any info I get. It’s just the way I like playing.

Generally not. Breadcrumbs (as we call them) are, in our experience, the fastest way to out a cop. Though maybe not if you have people leaving fakepeeks all over the place.

So are you just mocking the phrase but agreeing with the sentiment?

Most commonly the Detective/Seer will make a very solid case on their known Scum/Wolf and encourage others to ‘see’ their point.
(Hence my reference in my first post toDay)

How do your detectives/seers announce it when they know someone is a villager?

Outing a cleared villager is generally only done if there is danger of a miss-lynch.
If villagers are cleared as they are found Wolves can just pick them off one by one and diminish the “cleared” pool for EOGame

Yeah I can see the difference now, on our board one of the reasons you DO leave breadcrumbs is other people are leaving them, too. We actually call it “seer cover,” and there are long theoretical debates about how wolves can best “seer hunt.” On our board, if a seer died and had not outed his or her peeks before they died, that would be regarded as unbelievably poor play.

Over here, with no cover, I can see why seers just wouldn’t say anything. They’re still covered, it’s just by deafening silence. I guess this board has decided to take that gamble.

So then do villagers ever defend anyone if they’re not a detective?

I wish that a certain game that’s currently at must-lynch was over already so I could make a joke about this.

Game just ended, village lost, that was completely abysmal of our seers and perhaps one of my top 5 most ridiculously sick villager performances.
