After two seasons on Netflix, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is coming back on their own custom streaming platform. Funded by backers on Kickstarter, Season 13 will feature 13 full-length episodes, plus a bunch of shorts. As part of their annual Turkey Day marathon on Thanksgiving, they have released all 13 movies to be riffed this season, which are: - Santo in the Treasure of Dracula - Robot Wars - Beyond Atlantis - Munchie - Doctor Mordrid - Demon Squad - Gamera vs Jiger - The Bat Woman - The Million Eyes of Sumuru - H.G. Wells’ The Shape of Things to Come - The Mask 3-D - The Bubble - The Christmas Dragon You can watch short teasers for all the movies on [this page](https://kickstarter.mst3k.com/season13). The season has a mix of classic MST-type movies: low-budget sci-fi, B/W horror, overdubbed foreign films, cheesy sword and sorcery, Japanese kaiju, and…other undefinable weirdness. For my money, _Munchie_ looks to be the absolute worst movie on the list and I can’t wait to see what they do with it. Also, the Gamera movies are some of my favorites from the original run, so I’m definitely looking forward to that as well. And they don’t list them yet, but I’m also excited about them doing a bunch of shorts, which traditionally have been absolutely iconic (like _Mr. B Natural_, for example). I’ll be watching. “Doctor Mordred” with Jeffrey Combs made it an almost sure thing, but “The Million Eyes Of Su Maru” sealed the deal. ---

Regarding @CardboardBoxx 's question on price - yeah, they’re setting up their own stream, so it is pricey, but rather than looking at watching 13 episodes (plus 12 other ‘events’) of a TV series, it’s more like those of us who have been paying $10 per ‘movie’ Riff of the Mads, [Rifftrax.com](http://Rifftrax.com) or the like. So at that price, it’s a deal. But expensive compared to $1.99+ (depending on source and SD/HD) on per episode on Amazon or iTunes for a more traditional show. Now, I enjoy MST3k, but my wife is a Mistie through and through, so she’s a backer in the $250 range. But it was her money, so even if I felt it was a lot, it made her very happy. The $85 you’re talking about is _ALL_ the gizmoplex content (including the 12 non-movie specials), for $75 you can the 13 episodes on DVD (not too dissimilar to some new-season boxed sets on popular shows), or $65 gets you digital downloads of all 13 episodes. I won’t say it’s cheap, but for many fans (or my wifely superfan) it’s a gift of love and joy. ETA - pricewise I guess it’s like my friends who signed up for Disney + just to watch the Mandalorian or other online exclusives. Not cheap, unless you want the rest of the content from a specialty provider. 🤷‍♂️ ---

I was unaware of the tagging features of the new version of the Board, as I have pretty much run screaming away from this place, but yeah, I am looking forward to more MST3K. Slightly disappointed that we have two repeats from Rifftrax, but Doctor Mordrid is amazing even unriffed, so I am really looking forward to that one in particular. I backed the KS at the $150 level. ---

I thought I had read somewhere that once they were up and running, you could buy individual episodes, but I can’t look that up right now, so I could be wrong. ---

@CandidGamera, my wife wanted to know if you participated in any of the [Rrparks.com](http://Rrparks.com) collectible card series for MST3k. She’s gotten all of them, and even has her own signed picture card from the most recent series. @ShadowFacts - I would not be surprised if they did an a la carte option for the episodes, especially if they charged $10 or so like the Rifftrax model, but haven’t seen any confirmation. ---

I backed the original revival, and I tried to back this one (for some reason the transaction didn’t get recorded and I had to sign up again after the campaign closed). But I’ll have to say, I was not too pleased with the the Netflix run, mostly because I didn’t like Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt doing so much “acting” acting. I prefer the more amateur-like sketchiness of the original run. I want the whole thing to be cheesy and barely competent. Plus, there’s something about Felicia Day’s performance that just makes me cringe, especially during the opening sequence. Don’t like seeing it. ---

Perhaps with season 13 going live, there will be future series, and if so, my wife will be there. ---
