Apparently they have determined that the spiral means, “Brunch Menu”
Fascinating stuff. Back when I got my pick of books from dad’s collection, I took Lost Languages. It had very interesting pictures and big charts giving the name and sound of characters in cuneiform, Egyptian hieroglyphs and a bunch more. Eventually, I got around to reading the history of how dead languages had been translated. I used the charts to write Cthulhu on a sash in cuneiform and in a cartouche. I also copied a lot of the characters from stil untranslated Rongo Rongo script-which I think looks a lot like like sea life, bits of coral, and sea weed.
I am also reminded of a moment from Doctor Who (the exact wording may be off)
“I found this strange inscription.”
“Ah, Old High Gallifreyan.”
“You can read it”
“It’s my handwriting.”
“What does it say?”
“Dig hole here.”
Well, then, we just have to find the Doctor and he’ll tell us what it means. Hell, it’s probably his handwriting on this tablet, no doubt made with a sonic screwdriver.
