My own possibly stereotyping assumption is that the kinds of girls attracted to roleplaying games are less inclined to behave this way. The argument I’ve heard is that the kind of woman who obsesses over female-female power & status games is going to seek out groups of women, to indulge her inclinations. Whereas the kind of woman who doesn’t like that sort of thing will hang out with men because by definition that’s the one place she can avoid it.
