Is there a name for the Delorean car door that swings skyward? What about the Lamborghini door that swivels upward, like a pocket knife? ---

I’ve heard the Lamborghini style called “scissor” doors. Oops, shoulda looked at **Sailboat** ’s link first. ---

People who retrofit other models of cars to have the Lamborghini-style doors typically just call them “Lambo doors”. Everyone knows what that means. ---

I came in to mention Lambo doors but apparently that’s chavbait. Is there one? I always heard them called “NASCAR doors”. Back in the 50’s when NASCAR stock cars actually started out with… wait for it… stock cars, one of the modifications done to them before racing was welding the doors shut for safety reasons as well as stiffening the body. ---
