I think strangers is easier, depending on the situation. Like, standing naked in front of a lecture hall full of people: No. Being naked on a clothing-optional beach: Fine. How about, I’m cool with being naked around strangers who are also or who might soon become or who just were naked, you know, so there’s no weird clothes-on/clothes-off power issue. I hate being naked in front of a doctor, for example, immature as that might be, because then I have _two_ power issues working against me. Being naked in front of friends is a little bit weirder, 'cause with strangers, either you don’t look, or if you do look, it doesn’t even hardly register. But with friends, well, you’re supposed to be looking at them and talking to them and stuff, and yet, they’re sitting there, well, _naked_. You have to look, but you can’t really _look_, and if you do _look_, and everybody gets embarassed, you still have to face them the next time you see them. I don’t want to scare anybody off from being naked with friends, though. It doesn’t take long to get used to it. When I really get uncomfortable is when I’m naked with people who are clearly self-conscious about being naked. Like, I was getting dressed in a locker room one time and these teenage girls came in, and they were all giggly and freaked out and holding up towels to shield one another so nobody saw them getting undressed, and I was just in there with my boobies hanging out wondering, what, should I hiding my nakedness too? Am I traumatizing them? Crimeny, haven’t they ever been in a locker room before? ---

Ugh! Can’t I just be shot instead? No? Oh well … I guess it depends on how good the friends are or how unknown the strangers are. If they were really good friends, then I’d probably rather be naked in front of them. But if we’re comparing just some-what good friends to complete strangers, then I’d probably choose the strangers. Unless the strangers are people that would likely see me again later. Are you _sure_ I can’t just be shot instead? Heck, it’s bad enough that I have to see my body occassionally; I wouldn’t wish the twisted vision on anyone else. ---

Michi: I’d rather be nekkid in front of strangers. I want to KEEP my friends…them seeing me naked might scare them away. But if I had a good body, heck, you wouldn’t be able to keep clothes on me. Bear is sitting next to me right now, and he isn’t saying anything. ---

Personally, I’m not body conscious enough to be concerned about it; I was once goaded into performing a strip-tease act in a bar by friends, while in the presence of strangers. (It was a dare so I couldn’t say no. One of those things.) So I shook my naked pale white ass on the dance floor and got a big round of applause. It can be strange with some people, though. I had a (female) friend who was totally exhibitionistic, to the point where she came to the dinner table nude on Thanksgiving, in front of Uncle Bob and Grandma Ruth and the whole gang. It was so odd; everybody there knew it was abnormal, yet no one said anything. She showed up at a Halloween party and didn’t have a costume, so she just took her clothes off. To this day I don’t understand it. ---
