I usually do this visualizing a map, going northeast first: Maine Vermont New Hampshire New York Rhode Island Connecticut Massachusetts Pennsylvania Maryland 10. New Jersey Delaware Virginia West Virginia North Carolina 15. South Carolina Georgia Florida Alabama Mississippi 20. Ohio 21. Indiana 22. Michigan 23. Kentucky 24. Tennessee 25. Arkansas 26. Louisiana 27. Missouri 28. Iowa 29. Wisconsin 30. Minnesota 31. Texas 32. New Mexico 33. Arizona 34. California 35. Oregon 36. Washington 37. Hawai’i 38. Alaska 39. Idaho 40. Wyoming 41. Montana 42. North Dakota 43. South Dakota 44. Utah 45. Nevada 46. Colorado 47. Nebraska 48. Kansas 49. Oklahoma 50. Illinois, which I missed earlier. Seven minutes. ---

They already have names but if I am going to name them… Alaska becomes Corruptaland Michigan…Gemini Texas… Oilvania Florida…Geezerville California…Leftsylvania New York…Egomania Delaware…Creditssylvania etc. ---

Four minutes, 20 seconds. Got 'em all. Interesting to see the last few ones that I got, but had to briefly pause for: Texas Oklahoma Colorado Missouri The last one, a neighboring state, hung me up for about a full minute. I almost forgot my own state, at #38 on my list. ---

I can also name them all in about two minutes thanks to having learned the song in fifth grade chorus … BUT if someone interrupts me, I have to start all the back at the beginning, I can’t pick it up mid-way through the alphabet. Maddening! ---
