Well, the current thing I haven’t bought is a garden statue of a cat covered in mosaic tiles. It’s $120 and, gosh dang it, I’m not gonna be one of those obsessed single women who buys a lot of cat related crap but I still really want it. The silly thing I did buy is a [deerhead head covered in fish wallpaper](http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=11033447). It’s goofy but it’s gonna look cool in my living room. ---

Well, he’s very handsome and his name is S – oh, er… 😛 A Nintendo DS. Yes, I’m very behind the times. The thought process goes thus: “You don’t have that new Game Boy thing. Buy it. It’s cheap.” “It’s over a hundred dollars, that’s not cheap.” “But you can afford it.” “I have a computer.” “Which you can’t carry around.” “I have a laptop.” “Still too big. You can play it anywhere!” “Like where? When I’m at home I have a computer. When at work I’m WORKING, and I have a computer. When I’m not at work or at home I’m doing something or I’m driving, and I can’t play while driving.” “If you’re getting a ride somewhere you will have something to do. Remember when you borrowed the PSP?” “I barely played the PSP because I was knitting and napping on that ride. And I need to pay debts and save money.” Which ends up winning the self-argument, except that I proceed to spend thirty dollars here, twenty dollars there, and eventually the two hundred or so I would have spent on a DS plus accessories and a game or two ends up becoming a few rather cheap things instead of one pricey one. ☹ ---

I really want an embroidery machine, which I don’t need. At all. But sometimes I just have the urge to monogram all my underwear or embroider a little tiny Cthulu in place of the usual alligator on a polo shirt. Ooh, or a knitting needle and yarn! See? An embroidery machine would not be in my best interest, because I’d treat it like some people treat Bedazzlers. ---
