ih-ram 1. a costume worn by Muslim pilgrims to Mecca, consisting of one piece of white cotton arround the waiste and hips and another over the shoulder 2. the restrictions and rules that must be observed by a pilgrim so dressed.

What about the [ionar](http://www.reconstructinghistory.com/irish/dungiven.html)? [Irish](http://www.reconstructinghistory.com/irish/leine.htm) Medieval jacket/vest.

> A small jacket, usually worn more loose than a doublet, the Ionar is a traditional Irish garment. The version shown in most woodcuts shows the ionar coming down to the ribs with a “peplum” around the bottom.
