Name brand B.S.

Okay, I’m mostly with you on this one. It took me awhile, but I eventually learned that spending a little extra money usually meant a big increase in quality. So a $30 shirt is going to be more comfortable and last longer than a $15 shirt. But when the price goes up to $150, you’re paying for the name, and whatever incremental increase there is in quality just isn’t worth it (to me).
Perhaps some people are more attuned to the differences in the levels of quality of clothing, and therefore spending more on a name brand yields bigger rewards than for other people. The same as the guy who understands every detail of a $300,000 Ferrari, and can therefore justify the expenditure.
