How could you leave out Wall Drug?
(left it out because the OP said “We’ll stop by Wall Drug, of course…”)
But, yeah, Wall Drug is a required stop anytime I’m passing through. Last time I was there, I got yelled at for taking pictures of plastic dinosaurs in the gift shop. Which gift shop? I dunno…isn’t the whole place one big gift shop?

As an aside, my grandparents used to own a hunting lodg just outside of Newcastle, Wyoming. I spent most of the summers of my youth there and in South Dakota. I’m bummed that they no longer own it, as I would have loved to take my daughter there.
