I’ve been in this band for a while but we recently changed drummers and didn’t like the old name anyway. We’ve been thinking about it hard for almost 2 weeks and have nothing which is holding us back on everything else. So, I turn to the best resource I have, you guys. **Rules and Guidelines** 1. We’re 4 guys between 20-32 and we play road trip/rolled down windows/summertimey music. Not to hard, not too soft. The name doesn’t have to reflect that but it can’t be the polar opposite. Brain Crusher Entree probably isn’t going to work) 2. If you pick something vulgar or stupid, it’s not going to get picked. (Dirty Sanchez and the Donkey Punchers would be a big loser. ) 3. We don’t have to like any of them, so a winner isn’t guaranteed. 4. (x) and the (y)s is probably not going to be picked. 5. Something spelled wrong is not going to be picked. (Kleen, e.g.) 4.5. It shouldn’t sound like something similar or be hard to spell. For instance, we were “Cheat” but I got annoyed at people going “Cheap?” “Chee?”. ugh. 1. If the domain is taken, it may not be picked. [mydomain.com](http://mydomain.com) is one place to check. (bandname)[music.com](http://music.com) is acceptable but not preferred. 2. Please, enter as many times as you want. When I got my PayPal account to pay for my membership, I picked a random amount of money to use from my bank account thinking I would start using eBay or something, but I haven’t. So the money’s just sitting there, I’m not doing anything with it so why not use it for a reward! If you are a long time lurker or a guest who’s used up their month, send me an email -\> Bruce\_Daddy(at)hotmail(dot)com with your entry and a subject like "SDMB Bandname"and I’ll pay for your subcription instead, if you like. And don’t worry about me taking the name and running. After the domain is registered it’s going in my sig here so you can check. I wouldn’t be a bastard like that anyway. That’s it! Whatcha got for me? ---

So, you don’t like “[Name] and the [Somethings].” Do you like “The [Somethings]”? How many words do you want in the name? Would you like a name that’s like “[Adjective] [Noun]” or “(The) [Verbing] [Noun(s)]” or just “[Thing]”? So you do fun, uptempo music? ---

How about “Breast”? I always thought that would be pretty funny because people could things like “we used to know them we’re they’re small” “man, breast has totally blown up, look how big they are.” As for what you should actually call yourselves, I have no idea, good luck. ---

I had some friends that used to be in a band that played, it would seem, similar music. They were called _Sid Suntan and the Coppertones_. They don’t play together anymore AFAIK. ---
